ELISA Test Kits for Veterinary Drugs
The Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) is a common experimental technique based on immunological reaction with high sensitivity, which combines antigen-antibody (Ag-Ab) interactions and catalytic action on substance by enzyme.
Antigen-antibody interaction occurs in a polystyrene microtiter plate (a solid support). After incubating with the reagent, the unbound antibodies are removed by washing the plate to ensure the specificity and stability of the results. For competitive ELISA, the more antigen in the sample solution, the more Ag-Ab complexes are formed and so there are less unbound antibodies available to bind to the antigen coated in the well.
